Leadership
principal Kenneth Joslin
I am the fourth of five children in my family and a life-long resident of Tulsa. I attended Wiley Post Elementary, Peary Elementary, Skelly Jr. High and East Central High School. I received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Northeastern State University and a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
I worked for many years at United Video/TV Guide in Tulsa. Education is a second career for me as I didn’t begin teaching until I was 40 years old. I taught at Disney Elementary, Mayo Elementary and Key Elementary. I was an assistant principal at Cooper Elementary for a few months in 2009 before being named principal of Mayo in November 2018.
My favorite activities include swimming, bicycling, and genealogy. I also love to travel. I've had the opportunity to visit many exciting places like New York, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua.
When I was younger and had more time, I was an avid cyclist and rode 20-30 miles a day! I hope that I’ll have the time to enjoy cycling again, but, in the meantime, I love being principal at Mayo and I love getting to know students and their parents.
